Role-playing game.

rogges:

Do you ever play this game where you assign your friends and family to characters in films and television shows? It is kind of like movie kareoke, except that your friends don’t have to be present and there is no talking over it. You just picture your friends in the roles instead of the actors. It is hilarious, trust me. And also scary. My favorite example to use is American Gangster, but really it works with almost anything. Music videos, fashion spreads, you name it.

I was just thinking about this because I was reading this interview with Mary-Kate Olsen and she was like, we went and got coffee that morning near where my sister’s place is and the streets were empty, and I pretended that A-Mill and I had apartments near each other in New York City and would go and get coffee together in the mornings when we weren’t busy with our fashion and art and writing and we basically lived at each other’s places with our little dogs. So the game works for interviews too.

I’m sorry if this was a sort of creepy post, but I’m not sorry about wishing that Andrea and I lived in the same city and that we weren’t broke.

I do this ALL THE TIME. And I don’t think it’s creepy. It’s just another form of dreaming.
